Welcome to The Salon is a compilation of photographic works made during the year 2021 from The Salon, a collective of nine image makers led by the artist Janelle Lynch. While diverse in their backgrounds, chosen media, and respective creative inquiries—from notions about perception and the metaphysical in nature to family history and the cycle of life—the members share an ethos of artistic integrity, discipline, and intellectual vigor. All artists were students of Lynch’s during the last decade at the International Center of Photography in New York City.
